2019年“搞笑野生动物摄影奖”（Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards）的主办单位在上个月公布了入围决赛的摄影作品。看看这些有趣的动物照片，足以让人开怀大笑，甚至忘却烦忧。
“搞笑野生动物摄影奖”在2015年首次举办，今年是第五届，共有40幅作品进入决赛，而优胜名单将在11月13日公布。
这个奖项的创始人是乔伊森-希克斯（Paul Joynson-Hicks）和苏拉姆（Tom Sullam）这两名专业摄影师暨动物保育人士。他们希望藉由生动有趣的摄影比赛，呼吁人们关注环境保护与动物存续，这也就是他们“经由竞争从事保育”（Conservation through competition）的理念。
去年赢得首奖的是美国女子麦高文（Mary McGowan）所拍摄的一只看似震惊的北美松鼠，这幅作品的标题是“当场逮到”（Caught in the Act）。

乔伊森-希克斯在一项声明中说：“每年我们都举办比赛，现在看人们如何将野生动物的有趣一面以视觉呈现，变得越来越令人兴奋。”
但这不光是动物搞笑而已，这项比赛的宗旨是提倡保育的重要性。乔伊森-希克斯说：“我们的星球正处于痛苦之中，我们都知道这种情况，现在我们必须知道该做什么。”
这项比赛鼓励人们从事保育活动，而且从购物、在家节制用水做起，进而影响别人。
